so, nevermind.
it didn’t start with a plan
no pitch decks
no “we’re gonna change the world”
it started with three friends, a room, a conversation, and a whole lot of chaos

we’re manav, moksh, and manan

we grew up in mysore, india

childhood friends, 20+ years deep

same schools, same streets, same jokes

but like most people, life sent us in different directions

we lost touch for a few years

then, in 2023, manav came back home from dubai

we hung out
talked
and something shifted

we didn’t say it out loud, but we knew
we still had it
the energy
the hunger to build something real.

in april 2024, we decided: let’s make sneakers
not white-labeled crap
we wanted full-stack
laces, soles, everything

charu joined soon after
a friend of manav’s with deep fashion knowledge
the “sneakers project” was born.

we started from color - orange
picked the name - nevermind

{a word we said too often on calls}

moksh drew bean (our logo & mascot)
manav said “what if we can put nvm in the mascot” and moksh did just that by incorporating nvm in the shoe laces
and just like that, we had a basic identity.

then, reality hit
sneakers are expensive to build
we had zero capital
couldn’t raise
wouldn’t take loans

so we pivoted

manav said, “why don’t we build for others to raise money for ourselves”
the studio idea was born.

moksh and charu weren’t convinced at first
but we tried anyway and it worked

we joined buildspace, a 6-week accelerator
built our mvp, got early demos

august 2024 was rock bottom.
charu left.
no cash flow.
team felt shaky.
we asked ourselves: what now?

then came our first client - court xpert
a pickleball brand led by atif, a tennis champ from the uae

we figured it out on the call
no playbook.
just instinct.

then came alfaa achem
then satya
then dz

and suddenly, we weren’t just designers or filmmakers or engineers.
we were builders.

all under one roof.

we never planned to do it all
we just said yes again and again and figured it out as we went.

somewhere along the way, a bigger picture formed, nevermind wasn’t just a brand
it started to feel like a system, nevermind os
a home for our studio, our products, and our people.
manav said “operating studios”
moksh said “operating systems”
we said let’s do both.

then came co/build.
manav met farza at 25hours hotel in dubai
got inspired
posted an ig story saying “builders, let’s meet”
no pitch.
just energy.

now, co/build is 30+ founders
a room full of people pushing their own dreams forward
we meet every week.
we learn.
we help.
we grow.

where are we now
still building.
still figuring it out.
still working with founders.
not just for them, but with them.

we’re niched down on a situation
people who are building.
launching.
scaling.
failing.
trying again.

from sneakers to studios to something much bigger.
nevermind is still what it started as

a reason to keep going,

because no matter what
as long as you keep moving forward
you’ll be just fine

and that’s all that matters.
